Note though that Wine needs some setup; it is not necessarily something that just works. Also, depending on what program you want to run, it may require more or less work, or it may not work at all. You should therefore check in the their if a program is reported to run at all and if it has any kinks.

If WineBottler has a 'recipe' for it, you should be golden though. It makes things very easy.

Wine's official website can be reached under, WineBottler. It also comes bundled with a compiled version of Wine AFAIR. If you 'just' want to run a popular program like, I dunno, MS Access or something, and you either require support or are not very tech savvy, you should look at instead though. They're a commercial version of Wine that is very easy to set up and guarantues compatibility with certain applications. With normal Wine, you have no guarantee that a new version doesn't break your running installation, although I doubt that this is ever a problems except with obscure, niche programs.
