Yet a few posts on this site and elsewhere on the web claim that QuickBooks 2016 is NOT compatible with El Capitan in any of its incarnations (however it does work on my MacBook Air with OSX 10.11 and did work on my iMac with OSX 10.11, until I upgraded to 10.11.1) and that Intuit isn't bothering to fix that problem.

Hi Rav, Can I just get this clear, please. I understand that Intuit no longer supports desktop software, preferring to deal with online accounts, and Reckon does not appear to have a Mac based 'Quickbooks equivalent product. So is it true that I cannot get any support for my current QuickBooks for Mac 2013, nor can I buy a compatible desktop based QuickBooks type program for my Mac platform.

Hi Rex My experience with Mac's is quite limited, but I have heard and seen many people sucessfully run Reckon Accounts Programs on Mac's by as Rav mentioned Virtual Windows programs installed on their Macs like Boot Camp and Parrellels. They then install RA on the virtual platform just as you do on a Windows Machine.

What I don't know is whether you can upgrade to the Australian RA from your current Intuit program. Hopefully Rav can find out for you. But Reckon have said they are committed to maintaining their Desktop program. There are so many places in Australia that do not have reliable internet, that we just need the desktop products.
