Mac App For Watching Movies Reddit

I just got an Oculus Go a few days ago and I am super excited! One of the big reasons I got one is to be able to watch live TV, Movies, video content etc with friends that have them. I downloaded the NBA on TNT app and was pumped to be able to watch the Rockets v Warriors game tonight in VR with my buddy who also has an Oculus. However, after further research I do not believe you can actually watch with a friend on this app like the newest commercials show and am assuming that you are only able to do this with the league pass subscription or the games shown in Oculus Venues (can anyone confirm?) In fact, after browsing through many of the video content apps (Netflix, Youtube, TV room etc) I am finding that there are actually very few instances where you can actually view video content while connected with a friend.

I know you can invite friends to your Oculus room and watch some content in the media area but I was disappointed to find out it is limited to movies you you purchase on the Oculus and facebook videos/pictures. Is there a work around or anything I am missing that would allow me and my friends to do this more frequently? I have spent a little time in AltSpaceVR which seems pretty cool but I have been able to figure out if you can connect with people to view video content.
